WiMax and 3G- network first ' get together ' in competition


The first market for telecommunications services, where a straight face competition mobile WiMax and broadband access in 3G-networks, will become South Korea. The local version of mobile WiMax, called 'WiBro', is still in a losing position, because the networks based on it yet do not have enough coverage, and consumers are not confident in its superiority over HSDPA- access, with reference to the report of market research firm ABI Research, .
The broad scope of 3G- network has such a significant advantage to companies using WiBro, will offer a truly compelling services to attract the attention of subscribers. However, the local telecommunications giant KT is preparing to offer WiBro -based videoconferencing.
So far, the only advantage to the WiBro HSDPA can be considered as a three-fold superiority in speed of outgoing traffic.
